ICS scientific research
ICS intends to devote greater human and financial resources towards the promotion of research activities in specific scientific/technological fields of competence. Consequently, the ICS Work Programme for 2010 includes an increased number of scientific and technological research activities in its two strategic priorities.
Research activities are planned and carried out at both ICS Trieste and Research Institutions and Universities in developing and developed countries in accordance with the cost/efficiency criteria, the ICS mandate and, whenever possible, the promotion of South-South Cooperation.
ICS bears the responsibility and effective supervision of research activities, contributing also with its in-house projects and expertise.
