Fellowships

Given that the main target beneficiary of ICS activities are developing countries and countries in economic transition, ICS gives high priority to the fellowship programme addressed to young scientists/technologists coming from these countries, in a strategic framework of technology transfer in this sense.

Fellowships are awarded on a competitive basis to candidates recommended by institutions in developing countries and countries in economic transition in the frame of a project of relevance to the beneficiary institution and country.

Fellows are hosted at ICS or at a selected collaborating Research Centre and participate in a given activity or undertake a specific thematic study; upon termination of the fellowship experience, the fellow is expected to return to the institution of origin and apply/implement the results of the training and research activity.
