ICS Past Programmes

ICS in the past

New opportunities for Developing Countries, encouraged by scientific and technology developments, incited ICS towards the end of 2007 to reorient its programmes and activities to better comply with the global context and the evolving conditions, trends needs and aspirations of Developing Countries.

Furthermore, the International Scientific Committee, established in 2008 to review from the scientific point the overall ICS programme of view, provided specific guidelines for future activities.

To allow ICS to focus its resources on priority scientific fields including new challenging programmes, a number of programmes pursued in the past have been discontinued.
