We are located in Padriciano, one of the two campuses of the AREA Science Park (Padriciano and Basovizza), which cover a total surface area of 55 hectares on the Karst plateau that surrounds Trieste. The park is 10 km from the city centre, standing on the motorway feeder road that links it to Venice, Milan and Turin (A4), to Udine and Austria (A23) and to Slovenia.
How to reach us
By Plane
Trieste Airport "Ronchi
dei Legionari" is connected by direct flights to London
Stansted, Munich and Belgrade as well as other European and African
destinations. There are daily flights to Genoa, Rome, Milan and
Turin.
The airport is approx. 30 minutes by car/taxi from ICS.

By Train
Trieste Railway Station is connected to all European
destinations by "InterCity", "EuroStar" and "Regional" trains.

By Bus
From Piazza Libertà, located in front of Trieste Railway
Station:
Bus 51 or
Bus 39 to Area di Ricerca, PADRICIANO.
Tickets must be purchased before boarding (from the Tobacconist or
newspaper stands).

By Car
ICS is off the A4 motorway (Venezia-Trieste). Continue on the dual carriageway (SS202) through the exit at Lisert in the direction of SLOVENIA for approx. 20 mins. Exit at "PADRICIANO - Area di Ricerca" and follow the signs to "Direzione/Laboratori" and ICS "B Building".
From Udine and Austria take the A23 motorway until Palmanova, continue along the A4 motorway and exit at the Trieste - Lisert junction (toll gate), continuing along the feeder road until you come to the Padriciano - Research Area exit.
From Ljubljana (Slovenia) after the international Fernetti pass, take the motorway feeder road in the direction of Trieste until you come to the Padriciano - Research Area exit.
The Basovizza Campus is just 6 km away from the Padriciano Campus and is easy to get to by following the road signs from Padriciano.
