Collaborative Project
Next Generation Biofuels for Africa
ICS-UNIDO is currently finalising with the African Union Commission a collaborative project (estimated Euro 20 Mil) on the development of Next Generation Biofuels and Biorefinery, to be submitted before the end of the year to the ACP Secretariat in Brussels, for endorsement and subsequent funding by the European Commission.read more
Cooperation Project
Geothermal development in East Africa
A regional cooperation project (Euro 16 Mil) for the development of geothermal energy in the East Africa Rift Region has been submitted to the ACP Secretariat in Brussels by the African Union based in Addis Ababa in cooperation with ICS-UNIDO.read more

ICTP (Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics) has announced that the recipients of its 2009 Dirac Medal are Roberto Car and Michele Parrinello - member of the International Scientific Committee of ICS - for their revolutionary "molecular dynamics" numerical simulation method for condensed matter.read more
